Born in the Isle of Man, the family emigrated to Australia in 1958,they had their first No 1 with Spicks and Specks in 1967 whilst on a five week cruise returning to England. Since then the hits have followed with songs like To Love Somebody, Massachusetts, Words,Saved by the Bell,Run to Me,My World,Nights on Broadway,Jive Talkin,You Should be Dancing,and of course the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
They have also wrote for other artistes such as Dionne Warwick(Heartbreaker),Diana Ross(Chain Reaction),
Kenny Rodgers(Islands in the Stream),Barbra Streisand( in 1980 and in 2006 with Woman in Love/Guilty and Stranger in a Strange Land),Celine Dion(Immortality),as well as covers by Elvis,Take That,Boyzone and countless others.
